Description of the job

An exciting opportunity has opened within the Manufacturing Engineering organisation at Airbus for the position of Systems Installation Industrialisation Engineer. Based at Broughton the successful candidate will join the team in Industrialisation which has responsibility for the Plant Productivity Menu, MCA Industrialisation (Plant ME on make & buy WP); Shop-floor support; Plant R&T; Communications with other units in Toulouse, Hamburg, Bremen, and Broughton.

The team are the Broughton Plant Focal Point and the voice of Systems Installation Industrialisation in the UK.

Tasks & accountabilities

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Designing manufacturing systems from the initial principles towards a manufacturing process in the operating environment, according to cost and lead-time objectives.
·  Analysing and optimising existing manufacturing systems.
·  Developing and deploying capability on New Product Introduction.
·  Bring industrial expertise to the definition phase in multifunctional teams.
·  Define and negotiate the "as planned" structure with Engineering.
·  Responsible for the integrated Manufacturing Dossier covering all means needed for shop floor execution: engineering technical information, quality control and measurement tasks, components / parts, jigs and tools, maintenance tasks, health and safety, schedule and economic aspects.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
·  Demonstrated Engineering experience.
·  Project Management experience.
·  English language at negotiation level, other languages would be a plus.
