Description of the job

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an experienced Software Integration Engineer (f/m) to lead the development and maintenance of our Maritime Surveillance Systems configuration and deployment tool.
This position is located in Bezons, Paris Area.

As a system integration engineer, your main task will be to automate the deployment and the configuration of the latest STYRIS® components through a framework based on the Puppet open source solution. You will also be in charge of integrating and maintaining new important
features such as system administration and cybersecurity, based on product specification and requirements. You will report to the Software Management Team Leader and have as main interfaces the software development team, the product management team, and
system engineers.

STYRIS® is an AIRBUS product line for collection, processing, consolidation, enrichment, distribution and display of data deriving from a wide range of maritime sensors such as radars, automatic identification system, radio direction finder, cameras, weather stations and sonars.
STYRIS® is based on a modular system architecture allowing a user-friendly integration, and ergonomic HMI to enable operators to monitor and interact with critical maritime situations, and provide the means to quickly communicate to all relevant authorities.

Airbus Defence and Space is providing for more than 20 years integrated maritime safety and security solutions to Port authorities, Coast Guards, Navies and also commercial administration all around the world. Over 250 Systems are in service in over 50 countries; 20 are currently under development. 85% of our business is international.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Profil recherché

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main task will be to automate the deployment and the configuration of the latest STYRIS® components through a framework based on the Puppet open source solution :

·  Technical lead for the product deployment tool design and implementation : new software integration (in-house or open source), new hardware support (NAS, other appliances), on request from product management.
·  Responsible for planning and delivering the engineering commitment for the product OTOCOQ.
·  Provide remote support to system integration and maintenance teams.
·  Address non-conformity raised by integration and validation teams.
·  Perform development environment maintenance and administration (GitLab, Puppet forge, build hosts, Virtual platforms …).
·  Contribute actively to STYRIS® product roadmap definition in close relationship withh product management team.

This role will involve some travel for business in France and abroad and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Education:

·  Master or diploma in computer science or a comparable field of study.

Practical experience:

·  3+ years of successful experience as Systems Integration Engineer, or System Administrator with a software development background (Linux/Windows infrastructure architecture and administration).
·  A first experience in Maritime business and sensors such as Surveillance Radars, VHF, RDF, AIS will be appreciated.
·  Experienced in working with virtualized environments (vSphere) is a plus.

Competencies:

·  Linux Operating Systems administration (networking, LDAP,nagios).
·  Familiar with scripting languages (bash, python) and object-oriented programming.
·  Experience in provisioning and configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
·  Source code management (Git, SVN).
·  Bug management tools (Quality Centre,Jira, Test-Link)
·  Awareness of Systems and distributed Command & Control and Surveillance Systems.
·  Fluent in French and Upper-intermediate in English (B2 - Oral and writing)
·  Organized and autonomous.
·  Capability to learn fast.
·  Team player and cooperative.
·  Rigorous, loyal and curious.
