Description of the job

A vacancy for a Simulation Engineer for Training Simulator has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Modelling and Simulation team in Systems Engineering.

We deliver real time simulation of the complete aircraft for design engineers, test engineers, suppliers and pilots. We bring our knowledge of the aircraft and strong, in-house technical expertise in software and hardware development to provide state-of-the-art simulation. Whether for troubleshooting the in-service aircraft, building the iron bird or prototyping the cockpit of the future, we offer tailored solutions to all aircraft programs. Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Scoping the product perimeter jointly with customer representative,
- Planning and driving product development with aircraft systems simulation models suppliers, subcontractors and offshore team,
- Integrating simulation models to build the virtual aircraft,
- Verifying product fidelity to aircraft behavior,
- Delivering to customer service,
- Ensuring support to training device manufacturers.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or avionics or a related discipline,
- Understanding of applied software to aeronautical,
- Knowledge of aircraft operations, aircraft systems and flight physics,
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills,
- Strong communication skills,
- Open minded and keen learner,
- Self motivated,

Language Skills:
- Negotiation level of English,
- French would be a plus.
