Our main challenges for the future are to be more reactive to an evolving environment, to continue delivering while preparing the future and develop our people.

This comes with a transformation of the department and a new organization where you will be an important actor.

A vacancy for a Pylon Stress Engineer (M/F) has arisen within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will be involved from product production to in service life topics and acquire End-to-end product life knowledge:

·  Advanced projects,
·  Product improvement (RC, weight, ramp up, operability…) & Co Design with Manufacturing, Engineering,
·  Plant support,
·  In service support.

You will be immersed close to the plant in the heart of St Eloi plant (Toulouse).

Pylon component has the advantage to gather on a human size component what can be found on the other A/C MCAs, allowing to make it a pioneer in many aspects and opportunity for a quick development.

A historical make component (Pylon primary structure) which stands alongside Design & Build (aerodynamic panels, Rear Structure) and buy components (Engine mounts).

A complex component with limited space allocation to integrate structure and main ATA systems (hydraulic, fuel, electrical, bleed, ...), where integration between the wing, the engine and the nacelles allows to work with many diverse partners.

A multidisciplinary component which needs the involvement of many disciplines (aerodynamic, thermal, ventilation, maintainability, …) to converge to an optimal configuration taking into account weight constraints but also RC, manufacturing and airworthiness regulations.

YOUR MISSION

We are a collaborative organization of more than 100 people where main values are wellbeing, agility/flexibility & safety.

40 people in the stress community.

The organization will give you the opportunity to develop yourself in pylon primary and secondary structures as well as engine mounts (make or buy according to the program).

In your role you will :

·  Supporting Manufacturing improvement for time and cost gain,
·  Supporting in service A/C operators by approving repairs, adaptations,
·  Supporting continuous improvement of the product to maximize company and operators profitability,
·  Ensuring airworthiness of the whole fleet, from in production to in service aged aircraft,
·  Supporting development and certification activities (ACD, MSJ).

We are looking for someone skilled in overall stress, with at minimum 5 years of experience, who likes collaborative environment.

Someone who will be autonomous; capable to lead an end-to-end project, from the idea maturation to the certification documents validation (including budget follow-up).

You should be able to specify, launch, check and validate deliverables from External partners and suppliers, to make on a case by case basis some stress analysis.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a Degree in Engineering or equivalent,
·  Experience in Static, Fatigue & Damage Tolerance is mandatory,
·  Experience in composite would be a plus,
·  Knowledge of tools as Hypermesh,, Abaqus or ISAMI would be a plus,
·  Good communication skills, autonomy, curiosity and willingness to learn,
·  English at Advance level and French at intermediate level is mandatory.
