Description of the job

Due to a huge period of growth within Airbus Defence and Space (ADS) we are now looking for a Programme Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to work on space flight hardware including the Eurostar family of commercial spacecraft within the Antenna / Mechanical Platform team.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  You will contribute to the Quality & Product Assurance team mission of assuring the quality of materials and processes used in Airbus Defence and Space products.
·  You will be tasked with Providing Quality & Product Assurance support to application projects as well as product development.
·  You will chair quality reviews at all stages of product design, development and manufacture
·  As a Programme QA engineer you will need to monitor that the risk and opportunity review meetings at all stages of a product design, development, and manufacture are held and ensuring that risk retirement plans are drawn up and carried through.
·  You must ensure that adequate qualification evidence exists to justify the materials and processes that will be used in the proposed satellite environment.

Required skills

·  HND or equivalent with a background in Mechanical, Thermal, Systems, RF, Manufacturing or composites.
·  Experience working within a Quality environment and with Product or Quality Assurance.
·  Knowledge of processes, procedures, methods, non-conformance, root cause analysis.
·  The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.
·  Business German or French would be an advantage.
