We are seeking keen intellects to join our multi-disciplinary team in developing a new generation of digital satellite payloads. The successful candidate will be immersed in a flight programme with access to experts in all disciplines needed to design complex global communication systems. Excellent team-working and analytical skills will be needed to explore the boundaries and contribute to the system architecture in this challenging role.

The Processor Systems team are world-leaders in digital signal processors for modern communications satellites. Our work spans all project phases from early concept and detailed design through to validation and in-orbit support. Our products fly in a range of missions from Low Earth Orbit telecoms satellites to space observatories beyond Earth orbit. We work with European colleagues and with customers and suppliers around the world, leveraging the most advanced technologies to deliver high performance in an environment like nowhere on Earth.

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include:

·  Digital signal processing simulation modelling and analysis,
·  Control software development,
·  Laboratory prototyping of new processor designs.

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

·  Currently studying towards a degree in Maths, Physics or Engineering
·  Excellent analytical skills,
·  Strong software programming,
·  Ability to communicate and work within a team on complex technical projects.
