Description of the job

A vacancy for a Prime Projects EEE Parts Engineer (PPE) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join EEE Space Systems Support in France.

EEE Space Systems Support is part of the Company EEE Center. The Prime PPE provides quality and expertise services for EEE (Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical) parts to prime contractor's projects teams.

As a Prime Projects EEE Parts Engineer, you will optimize the selection process of EEE parts and supports the procurement with regards to the requirements, interfacing with all Airbus DS actors involved in the EEE parts process. You will also manage the external sub-contractors, support the project team and interface with the final customers for all EEE parts dossiers.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Definition of EEE parts requirements applicable to the project,
·  Review and approval of sub-contractors' compliances to project requirements,
·  Participation or support to project reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, DRB, …),
·  Management of PCBs (Parts Control Boards) assessing all EEE activities done by subcontractors, with final customer representation as required,
·  Approval of components selection via PADs (Part Approval Documents) or JDs (Justification Dossiers) issued by sub-contractors,
·  Consolidation of EEE parts documents (DCL (Declared Components Lists), Alerts, …),
·  Support NRBs and approval of RFDs, RFWs and NCRs related to EEE parts,
·  Management of EEE alerts application by sub-contractors,
·  Assessment of EEE parts activities done by sub-contractors,
·  Contribution to project reporting and management of EEE documentation (DCLs, PADs, qualification status, NCRs, alerts …).

This role will involve frequent travels for business (approx. twice a month) in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering or Master degree in Electronic engineering,
·  3 to 5 years of experience in Engineering,
·  3 to 5 years of experience in Quality management,
·  3 to 5 years of experience in Programme & Project Management,
·  3 to 5 years of experience Electronic, EEE technologies & norms,
·  Audit/ Assessment (autonomous level),
·  Collaboration with suppliers (advanced level),
·  Make/implement decision & orientation (advanced level),
·  Project risk management (autonomous level),
·  Language Skills: advanced level of both English and French.
