Description of the job :
A vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus OneWeb Satellites SAS in Toulouse.
You will join the D2M Department. (Design to Manufacturing)

The Design to Manufacturing team (D2M) is in charge in OneWeb Satellite SAS Company of designing the equipment and process to smoothly assemble and test the satellites constellation.

The Mechanical Engineer will be especially devoted to the preparation of routing, 3D work instructions, smart tool programs... to operate assembly lines. His/her responsibilities include understanding the spacecraft / assembly lines design to validate drawings and to suggest innovations.

Location
The job is in Toulouse (France) with eventual few trips to Florida.

The mission will start in September 2019 and will last for 6 months.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and activities will include:

• Implementation of nominal and repair routings
• Implementation of 3D work instructions
• Implementation of smart tool programs (torqueing, camera, geolocation, robotic...)
• Validation of spacecraft design (in accordance with assembly line)
• Recording of Routing, MBOM ... on SAP / LMS following change request during production
• Suggestion of innovations / improvements (satellite or assembly line design)
• Supporting SMB (Satellite Manufacturing Baseline) configuration and maintenance

Required skills :
As the successful candidate, you should be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

Master's degree in Engineering

• 2-3 years’ experience in spacecraft production,
• SAP Visual Enterprise
• SAP ECC
• SAP ME
• Good Communication skills
• Being autonomous,
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams
• An experience in mass production will be appreciated,
• Capacity to interact with different Engineering specialist,
• Negotiation level in English.
