A vacancy for a PhD Flight Control System  V&V supported by Artificial Intelligence (m/f) has arisen within AIRBUS in SAINT-MARTIN (31).

You will join the Aircraft Control Modeling. Simulation & Tools department.

The objective of the PhD is to propose, develop and test a methodology to develop an Validation & Verification assistant based on Artificial Intelligence techniques. This assistant would support testing activities on Flight Control Systems.

Your main challenges of the PhD will be :

- Understand overall Aircraft Control Systems V&V process, methodologies and constraints

- Identify potential solutions

- Adapt IA techniques to critical systems

The PhD will be in 4 steps :

- step 1 : context acquisition & state of the art

- step 2 : potential solutions exploration

- step 3 : use case implementation

- step 4 : methodology definition and conclusions

This role could involve occasional travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :

You are educated or under-going a Master's degree in System Engineering, and specialized in Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.

You graduated less than 2 years ago

You are not under-going another PhD

- English: ADVANCED

- French: ADVANCED

- Rigorous, curious and autonomous

- Obtain good interpersonal and communication skills

- Able to integrate into team and be a flexible team player

- Have organizational skills

- Able to analyze and synthesize information

- Knowledge of project management would be a plus.
