Job Description

An exciting opportunity for ‘Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis Engineer’ position has arisen in Airbus Filton, UK. The job holder will join 'Linear and Nonlinear solutions' (IACSAN) tech centre. In the Airframe Competence Centre (IAC), the department Airframe Stress Solutions (IACSA) develops and applies robust advanced solutions for nonlinear finite element analysis technology, vulnerability, advanced failure analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, manufacturing process simulation and structural optimization.

Do you have strong technical experience in aircraft stressing methods and, in particular, of nonlinear finite element analysis techniques? If your answer is yes, then you will become a crucial part of the team providing advanced finite element analysis services to all Airbus programs and gain experience across all airframe level components.

About the team
This role involves collaboration with designers, engineering, manufacturing and customer service teams and requires the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. You will initiate and support activities such as virtual testing (coupon to aircraft level), root cause investigations for in-service issue and method & tool developments.
