A vacancy for a Metallic processes Engineer  (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse, France. You will join the metal department in the Material, Processes and test Domain.

Tasks & Accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

 - Perform technical qualifications for new / serial programs relating to forming, shot peening, machining, heat treatment, forming, correction etc. required either as part of a new design or a result of a transfer of work.

-Reviewing and updating the content of Airbus process specifications.

- Ensure operational expertise towards Programs, Procurement, Quality, Customer Service.

-Keep and build high level Metal Technology skill level

- Participate and contribute on R&T projects - Reinforce technical cooperation with suppliers (identification of new material / processes..)

- Support Metal Technology strategy, principles and concepts.

- Ensure development & deployment cost/performance optimised MP&T Metal Technology 

You will be in contact with procurement, supply chain quality, programs, customers, suppliers, specific design and stress authorities within Engineering.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

Key areas of knowledge are in:

· 
forming technologies (including shot peening)

· 
heat treatment.

Knowledge in other areas such as :

· 
machining

· 
marking processes,

· 
 non destructive testing,

· 
surface treatments,

· 
 test methods.

In addition you will have the following skills and experience:

· 
Master Degree (or equivalent) in metallic science

· 
Experience in project management

· 
Advanced level of English. French would be an advantage.
