Job Description

A vacancy for a Structure Stress Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. Within Airframe Stress department in charge of the safety of the flights, you will join team of 20 people, organized with team facilitators.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main responsibilities will include:

• You will be in charge of the substantiation of the Structural parts and the Equipment installations versus flight loads and landing requirements.
• You will participate to design reviews in order to define the best solutions in terms of weight, cost and robustness regarding fleet in-service constraints.
• You will contribute to the success of major programs such as Super Puma post-development, H175 maturity phase and innovation projects.
• You will be in contact with a lot of exciting interfaces such as aerodynamics, dynamic systems, material and processes, projects and programs.

We need your efficiency in Finite Element Models and your motivation to discover all stress activities, from the pre-project phase, then the drawing freeze, the manufacturing support, and until the certification, the delivery of the aircraft and the continued airworthiness investigations. The key behaviors for this position are team spirit and continuous improvement.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:

• Educated to 3 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in mechanic.
• Experience in Engineering
• Knowledge in Analytical method in material strength
• NASTRAN, SAMCEF and HYPERWORKS skills

• Language Skills: advanced level of english and french
