Description of the job :
The Finance NextGen Programme is an Airbus Defence & Space-wide development programme. This programme is designed to identify and develop talented Leaders for the Airbus Finance Community who will contribute significantly towards achieving our business goals. The Finance NextGen Programme - sponsored by Airbus Defence & Space' CFO - enables its participants to enhance financial know-how and expertise, combined with further learning in management and leadership competencies.

The mission of the programme:

• Fostering and deepening participants’ financial knowledge and expertise on the Airbus world of Finance, enlarging the scope to the international financial context
• Linking formal learning with rotating, real-business project assignments
• Increasing participants’ project management and leadership competencies
• Encouraging networking, job shadowing, mobility and cross-cultural experiences
• Mentorship from a member of the Finance Top Management
• Invitation to an Airbus Defence & Space Finance Conference

This Program consists of two assignments in two different countries. Each assignment lasts for a period of two years. They are combined with off-the-job modules, designed to strengthen participant’s management and financial competencies.

Task & accountabilities :
1. Accountabilities

In a very challenging context the objectives for A400M program are to secure the long term business for the Company. In parallel, A400M program is focusing on costs optimization the jobholder is responsible of:

• The jobholder cover the inventory optimization by coordinating across program
• The jobholder is the focal point for any of cash excellence iniatiatives
• To support other controllers in analysis, investigations, data automation and ad-hoc requests
• To support the TFAAI in a new ways of working to ensure we are more efficient
• To contribute to savings/improvements projects

2. Main activities

• Support the Head of A400m Industrial controlling in inventory project and material levy topic
• Co-lead the cash improvement project with program

3. Outputs

• The jobholder responsible to produce monthly inventory reporting
• The jobholder responsible for cash improvement analysis pack

Required skills :
Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Educated to honours degree or equivalent in mathematics, sciences, finance or business from a major University or Business School.
• Ability to think analytically is important for this financial role, therefore a high level of academic achievement can be more important than the specific subjects studied
• High proficiency with MS Excel. Highly numerate and computer literate. Financially aware with high business partnering acumen.
• Critical thinking & ability to constructively challenge the operational business. Excellent team working skills.
• Good communication skills — an ability to make finance important to non-finance people and to make complex issues understandable.
• Experience required (e.g. work experience / clubs / societies / charity work / hobbies etc.): International Work Experience highly desired
• Demonstration of a strong work ethic is essential
• Hobbies ad/or extra curricular activities demonstrating teamwork / entrepreneurial spirit / digital mindset/ global business awareness would be advantageous
• Languages: English negotiation level + at least another Airbus language)
