Tasks & accountabilities

Airbus Defence and Space (DS) Maintenance Programs Department (TASSE4) main mission is to ensure the Airworthiness Authorities approval of the different aircraft/products Scheduled Maintenance Requirements (Maintenance Review Board Report - MRBR) under Airbus DS, as part of the Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) required by FAR/CS 25.1529 regulation in order to obtain the aircraft/product TC or STC.
Related Airworthiness Authorities are: European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Certification and Qualification Committee (CQC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aerospacial (INTA), and Agencia Española de Seguridad Aérea (AESA).

Related aircraft/products are:

·  C-212 aircraft (all civil and military certified versions),
·  CN-235 aircraft (all civil and military certified versions),
·  C-295 aircraft (all civil and military certified versions),
·  A400M aircraft,
·  A330 MRTT/FSTA aircraft (all civil and military certified STC and TC),
·  P3 aircraft (avionic and mission systems upgrades),
·  A310 aircraft (STC for GAF and SAF VIP),
·  Prototypes (both TMA and MRTT´s) and Production Aircraft (A400M), and
·  Aerostructures (subcontracted by Airbus for the Fan Cowls and by Dassault for the F7X HTP).

One of the activities related to the above is the direct and permanent contact with Operators and Airworthiness Authorities responsibles (MRB) through Maintenance Working Groups (MWG) and Industry Steering Comitees (ISC) where TASSE4 team is responsible for the presentation of the different analyses (MSG-3), and any related or necessary documentation, that supports the Scheduled Maintenance Requirements development/revision approval.
TASSE4 uses the MSG-3 logic analysis and it is the worldwide tool accepted and used by all manufactures. The MSG-3 logic is the means for developing the scheduled maintenance tasks and intervals which will be acceptable to the regulatory authorities, the operators, and the manufacturers.
TASSE4 is aware of the latest status of this state of the art through the participation in different international civil and military forums, together with other manufactures/authorities like Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, FAA, EASA, TCCA, etc., to develop the MSG-3 logic analysis.
TASSE4 is also in charge of the C-212, CN-235, C295, and A330 MRTT´s Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) establishment. This document is an envelope repository document that provides a direct access to all the repetitive maintenance tasks that come from different source documents published by Airbus DS.
In addition to the above "in-service" deliverables, TASSE4 has a role as Back Office (BO) in order to answer customers (internal and external) queries, that may include "not technical objections" (ASAC).
Regarding aircraft in Production/Conversion, TASSE4 is responsible to provide the scheduled maintenance requirements needed from FOT and TOT and clock setting.
Regarding Certification Interfaces, TASSE4 is the responsible for the ALS distribution to customers, therefore, TASES3 is involved in all ALS development and updates and also has to control and follow the ALS requirements procedures (GVI and DET) to be included in the AMM/NDTM. Furthermore, since the MRBR is part of the FAR/CS 25.1529 ICA certification requirements, TASSE4 is in direct contact, but not limited to, with design, safety, certification, and technical publications departments.
Finally, upon request, TASSE4 may develop optimized maintenance programs to customers and maintenance programs for prototypes.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
