Job Description

If you are a full time student, looking for Master Thesis position in the Team, with a focus on further development and improvement of an existing test bench for helicopter flight control kinematics. The purpose is the detailed measurement, characterization and evaluation of existing flight control kinematics with the target of substantial design improvement, apply now!
Your working place will be in Donauwörth, where helicopters are developed, manufactured, assembled and flight tested on the same site. We are looking forward to you joining our dedicated team.

Location: Donauwörth
Start : Wintersemester 19/20
Duration: 6 months

Task & accountabilities :
- Integration of actuators (mechanical, electrical), command and monitoring by bus communication
- Simulation of the command of trim actuators by the Automatic Flight Control System using Space
- Integration of relevant sensors and corresponding data acquisition system
- Definition and execution of test
- Evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of the flight control system (inertia, friction, backlash, etc.) and the Performance of the trim actuators (speed, friction or spring force feel, etc.)
- Proposition of design improvements

You offer :
- Enrolled student (d/f/m) within mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar field of study

- Great interest in mechanical systems and development of mechanical parts, in particular transmissions
- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, Modelling + Simulation, Sensors, Dara Acquisition, Mechanics
- Fluent in English and German, French would be beneficial
