Description of the job

A vacancy for an Internal Communications Officer has arisen within Airbus in Filton.

The communication function ensures a trusted and timely dialogue with internal and external partners of the Airbus Group, its divisions and subsidiaries. The function is constantly evolving to set new standards in product and corporate communication to drive the company strategy, cultivate partnerships and build a strong brand reputation around the world.

The successful candidate will need to gain UK Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

¤ You will be responsible for ensuring internal communication activities sponsored either from within the function/department or in support of other functions are delivered expertly and effectively making full use of internal communication tools.

¤ On behalf of the Head of Internal Communications for the UK, you will be the contact, Stakeholder Manager, for gathering stories from the technical teams across the Filton site.

¤ You will contribute to the planning and implementation of engaging, effective two-way internal communications strategies for projects to support critical business activities.

¤ You will develop strong working relationships with communications colleagues in Broughton, the global communications community and the communications network across the Filton business.

¤ Responsible for the planning, organising and execution of a variety of events in support of Filton Management team and the wider Filton community in events such as, Leadership conferences, business milestones and achievements.

¤ Produce content, support and promote topics using the full range of the Airbus toolkits we use such as "Airbuzz" and other suite of tools, like Editorial calendar, Posters, Leadership Communication Packs.

¤ Mentor Interns, Graduates and VIEs helping them to understand and complete the work load we deem suitable.

This role will involve some travel for business once a month in Broughton or Toulouse and as such you are requested to be able to travel accordingly
