Part of the Human Resources Department for Airbus Defence and Space, working for the Ensure and Culture Evolution Centres of Excellence (CoE).

A key activity of the team is to provide social policies aligned with the Airbus Group vision and targets, alongside current employment legislation, whilst ensuring constructive and proactive industrial relations. Additionally, we support the Data Protection Network, HR Communications Network and have relationships with HRBPs/other CoEs/HR Business Services and Operations (shared services). The Culture Evolution team exists to support the people side of business transformation.

Tasks & accountabilities

·  To support the ongoing review and updating of the Airbus intranet content

·  Liaising with the HR team to ensure HR policies and procedures reflect current employment legislation and best practice

·  Assisting with the harmonisation of policies and procedures across Airbus Defence and Space and, where applicable, Airbus in the UK.

·  Monitoring and improving systems to report on HRBP activities (such as disciplinary and grievance cases).

·  Provide support the Staff Representative Committee where required, and managing the election processes.

·  To create data packs and information slides as needed for meetings etc.

·  To coordinate events such as briefing sessions for the HR community, Employment Law training for Managers/Staff Representative Committee and other events such as Long Service Award Ceremonies

·  Co-ordinate purchasing process for projects and other ongoing work

·  Supporting the wider HR team (e.g. note taking in grievance/disciplinary meetings)

·  Support Culture Evolution team to implement activities that foster Culture Evolution Journey and Empowerment e.g. co-ordination of logistics for Discovery Day and Awards for Excellence panels and events on time on quality and cost.

·  Contribute to the Culture Evolution roadmap and delivery by actively participating and support projects and activities

·  Provide quarterly metrics on Team Dynamics delivery

·  Contribute to the UK culture change networks – e.g. Balance for Business, Value Ambassadors and Culture Drivers and any associated logistics and workshops

Required skills

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;
Currently studying for a Human Resources, Legal or Business-related degree (or equivalent)

Experience required:
Previous work experience in an office or Human Resources environment would be advantageous (but not essential). Other work or voluntary experience would be useful, as would experience in organising events

Technical skills required:
Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience of HR Information Systems (e.g. SAP) would be beneficial but is not essential
Experience of maintaining or updating internet/intranet pages would be valuable

Behavioural skills required:
Extremely well organised and methodical
High level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to communicate with open and transparency at all levels
Able to multitask and prioritise
