As an HR Business Partner at AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited, you will be a strategic partner at our Newport site, collaborating with business leaders to align HR initiatives with organisational goals and drive effective talent management strategies.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

Provide expert HR advice and counsel to assigned business units, including organisational design, workforce planning, and change management.
·
Develop and implement HR strategies and programmes that support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and foster a high-performance culture.
·
Lead and manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws.
·
Partner with the employee relations (SPIR) team to support organisational change projects, including redeployment, M&A activities and TUPE, as required.
·
Contribute to a healthy social climate and constructive dialogue with our Social Partners and Employee Relations Committee.
·
Partner with talent acquisition to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure effective on-boarding processes.
·
Support employment Outreach activities and recruitment campaigns, including early career assessment centres.
·
Collaborate with the Reward team to develop competitive reward strategies and provide guidance on compensation and grading decisions.
·
Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
·
Identify training and development needs, and collaborate with the Develop Centre of Expertise to design and deliver effective programmes.
·
Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
·
Ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
·
Undertake and support ad hoc HR projects, as required.
ABOUT YOU
·
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g. CIPD) preferred.
·
Proven experience as a generalist HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role, preferably within a large, complex organisation.
·
Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and HR compliance.
·
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
·
Experience of complex employee relations and change projects, including supporting reorganisations, employee mobility and redeployment and TUPE activities is an advantage.
·
Experience of supporting end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including early careers assessment centres, is an advantage.
·
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
·
Experience with HRIS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace is preferred and knowledge of Workday is an advantage.
·
Experience of working in the aerospace, defence or technology sectors is an advantage.
