We are looking to recruit the following positions:

1. RF Design Engineer

This role sits within the Secure Communications group of Airbus Defence and Space. We provide resilient, reliable and secure communication to National Infrastructure and to the Military. The specific department is a growing multidisciplinary team of 20 engineers responsible for research design, development, delivers and supports state-of-the-art Satellite. To reflect this breadth, the group's remit is equally wide-ranging enabling the successful candidate to become proficient in many technical and non-technical areas that are the bedrock of a successful career.

2. RF/Microwave Design Engineer

The Communications Electronics Department designs, develops, manufactures and tests equipment for use on board Telecommunications and Navigation spacecraft. Our engineers apply their skills to realise highly complex and compact systems covering RF and Microwave circuits. Payload equipment's are extremely reliable and efficient needing to operate in the harsh environment of space to provide continuous services for people and businesses anywhere on Earth and beyond.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

·  Assisting in System design studies;
·  RF performance analysis of system including the antenna and radome;
·  Requirement elicitation, analysis and trades;
·  Undertake trade studies to find optimum solution;
·  RF building block specification development;
·  RF test strategy development and Validation, Verification and Test plan documentation;
·  RF Interface definition;
·  Researching technologies
·  Delivering presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
·  Liaison with suppliers; monitoring and reporting

This role will involve some travel to European Airbus D&S sites and international suppliers. As such you must be able to travel accordingly.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

·  At a minimum, a 2:1 degree or equivalent in, Engineering, Electronics, Physics or a related subject
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  A methodical approach to the work with sufficient commitment and drive to see the task through including under difficult circumstances
·  Team working. Experience of working direct with others and will be able to demonstrate a capability of presenting ideas and concepts to colleagues, domain experts and the customer
