A vacancy for a Digital Transformation Engineer (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Hamburg at the earliest possible start date.

Tasks & accountabilities

What will you manage in the first 100 days?

- You will build your network with various departments and our IYV domain (Engineering, Digital Transformation Office, Analyst & Internet of Things networks, e-motion, e-Self, etc.) to understand the Airbus transformation strategy.
- You need to identify the pain points of your domain colleagues (around 160 employees), understand customer needs and how we can anticipate them as you will develop solutions.
- If needed, you will learn or deepen project methodology (scrum, design thinking, SAFe, etc.) and spread this knowledge within the team.

What will you manage in the first year?

- You will create the domain’s digital transformation roadmap once you understand the company transformation strategy & operational needs.
- You will lead or accelerate digital transformation projects, contributing to DDMS, Skywise and the 0 AOG Plateau.
- You will support the team on Proof of Concept together with our users from business sectors, and you will also be responsible for deployment within our domain.
- You will review our Ways of Working (process & tools) and improve them thanks to digital means e.g. artificial intelligence supported simulations.
- You will manage Big Data, visualise them and apply data analytics (using machine learning and artificial intelligence methods) wherever applicable
- You will actively collaborate with Business Transformers to bring digital skills to our Team.

Required skills

What will you need?

- You have a degree, knowledge and/or interest in computer science, electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline - experience in programming, data analytics and data management
- You have several years’ experience in digital transformation, overview of new technologies and digital capabilities.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and capabilities to be able to perform tasks autonomously. In a nutshell, you feel & behave like a self-starter.
- You can turn complexity into simplicity.
- You are team focused, can contribute to a positive team and community spirit, and feel comfortable with challenging & supporting your colleagues.
- You have great communication skills to influence others to join us on the transformation journey.
- Your level of English is negotiation level. German or French would be a plus.

This role will involve some travel for business (once a month) in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
