Description of the job
The Outer Wing Repair Proactive team are responsible for developing repair capability to support Outer Wing Daily Repair and Major Repair tasks. It is a multifunctional team with extensive design, analysis and modelling skills, and works closely with all aspects of Wing engineering (including legacy and development aircraft programmes, R&T, methods, and M&P) both in the UK and transnationally to define and develop effective repair solutions. It also provides direct engineering repair support for key tasks for the In-Service fleet.
The successful intern will gain experience in new technology whilst also gaining skills in design, stress whilst having the opportunity to work with Catia V5, Magics Software and Build file creation. You will also have interaction with transnational teams.
Tasks & accountabilities
The Intern will be working for the Head of Repair Development. You will be offered training on Catia V5 and other associated software packages required to carry out the role. Once embedded in the team you will work closely with the design offices to ensure that the original requirements for the parts are considered and that any design issues are raised with the relevant Chief Engineers Team.

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement studying towards a degree in the following:
Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
