Description of the job

A vacancy for a Contracts Officer Agreements (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, in Toulouse. You will join the Space Systems, commercial and contracts department team responsible for sales export contracts for telecommunications satellites.

You will support the agreements team in drafting, reviewing, redlining and negotiating agreements of various types (MOAs, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, equipment contracts, services agreements, satellite contracts) related to commercial proposals and contracts for the export of telecommunications satellites.

This position will also require eligibility for security clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be in charge of the following main activities:

 Support to the telecommunications satellites sales and marketing team throughout the contract life cycle (acquisition phase, negotiation, implementation) with respect to commercial agreements;
 Interface with other departments and functions in preparing agreements for proposals (e.g. project, proposal team, insurance, tax, legal, procurement, export control).
 Drafting of agreements, red-lining of customer agreements;
 Advising internally on interpretation of agreements;
 Preparation of the documentation related to terms and conditions for internal review meetings (vetting/ RMC);
 Preparation of contractual part of commercial and financial proposals;
 Negotiation of agreements;

Business travel and can be expected anywhere in the world approximately once a month and consequently, you must be willing to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have the experience and the following skills:

• Educated to degree level in international business law and/or business school or experience in a commercial or finance function;
• Knowledge of contracts;
• Drafting experience would be an asset;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Good team player;
• Positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to a fast pace and continually changing environment is essential;
• Ability to work in a multicultural and global environment;
• Fluent English speaker with good writing skills.
