Description of the job

A position within Configuration, Requirements and Data Management has arisen in Airbus Defence & Space in Barajas (Madrid).
The successful applicant will join TALR department.

Tasks & accountabilities

The jobholder will be responsible to provide support to Light Transport Aircraft Programmes in any of the following disciplines/dimensions:

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT

·  Capture and ensure compliance of the contractual CM requirements.

·  Create, update and ensure implementation of the corresponding Configuration Management Plan (CMP)

·  Ensure the implementation and execution of the CMP at the corresponding Programme phase, specially focusing on the interactions with the different Airbus DS Departments, with the Customer (internal/external) and with major suppliers if needed.

·  Manage the timely approval or rejection of PMs.

·  To coordinate the necessary activities within Military Aircraft in order to assure that the product structure baseline is established and maintained and design changes are monitored and controlled, coordinating and establishing its acceptability according to Military Aircraft and Customer requirements, by means of identifying the A/C effectivity for each design modification when accepted.

·  To manage and/or support the execution of the PCB (Preliminary Change Board) and the follow up of the proposals (PMs) that are presented in the PCB jointly with their associated budgets.

·  To manage and support the execution of the CGM (Comité General de Modificaciones) and the approval/rejection and follow up of the Modifications (PMs) that are presented in the CGM.

·  Support the Department participation in other forums where product changes may arise.

·  Support other Configuration activities and/or improvement projects when required.

·  To define and produce regularly the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Configuration process.

·  To provide the required support to all M&L Programs during contract negotiations, on subjects under his/her responsibility and related to configuration management and change control in order to assure that customer requirements are established in according to M&L Programs and Military Aircraft principles.

REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT

·  To ensure an appropriate management of all the Contractual Requirements within Military Aircraft Light Transport Programmes

·  To prepare and implement the RM Management Plan applicable to each Light Transport Programme

·  The responsibility of the jobholder extends to Technical Requirements (both for aircraft and support systems) and to Programmatic Requirements (delivery conditions, financing conditions, offsets, contractual obligations, etc.)

·  To capture, analyze, and communicate the full range of the Technical requirements to the engineering teams and services teams.

·  To capture, analyze and communicate the full range of Programmatic requirements to the responsible organizations.

·  To ensure that the requirements have full traceability within the IT tool environment (mainly DOORs to be used).

·  To manage changes to the baseline, along with the RM Database .

·  To provide the required support to all Light Transport Programs during contract negotiations, on subjects under his/her responsibility and related to Requirements.

DATA MANAGEMENT

·  Create, update and ensure implementation of the Data Management Plan (DMP).

·  Responsible to coordinate the proper implementation of IT tools that are demanding to be used within Light Transport Programs, to cover documentation management system and share working or collaborative IT tools like Sharepoints, etc

·  To provide the required support to all Light Transport Programs during contract negotiations, on subjects under his/her responsibility and related to data and documentation management.

·  As part of data management responsibility and for the program documentation to be delivered as per contract (CDRLs), to coordinate and control CDRL documentation within Military Aircraft, and to provide it to Customer as required, managing and controlling also its acceptance status when provided by the customer

·  To coordinate within Light Transport Programs stakeholders the necessary development of IT tools to assure the configuration and data availability and control. To manage and control user access for such IT tools.

Required skills

The required skills in this position are:
Educational background: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering
Experience: 3-5 years professional experience in Engineering / Manufacturing/ Procurement or Services.
Specific experience in Configuration Management will be a plus.
Program and project management knowledge will also be highly valued.

IT Tools:
SNT, SAP
DOORs knowledge will be valued
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish
