Description of the job

A vacancy for a Buyer - A330neo/A380 Large Nacelles has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse.

You will join the Large Nacelles Procurement department.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

A. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLIER MONITORING
- Prepare, negotiate and formalize all commercial agreements with supplier through contracts such as Purchase Agreement amendments and side letters, preserving Airbus' interests.
- Participate in the MFT (Multi-functional team) to ensure all topics related to the supplier are treated and aligned through the MFT network.
- Negotiate claims/ counter claims in case of non-compliance (e.g. delivery delays, quality issues or non-respect of performance guarantees).
- Support to monitor On Time, Cost and Quality delivery of nacelles throughout FAL/ Flight Line/ Delivery Centre and until delivery to the final customer (airline operator/ leasing company/ military customer).
- Support to monitor that supplier's performances are in line with contractual commitments.
- Support to configuration changes of nacelles according to Airbus Procedure and negotiation of the associated commercial conditions through Claim Committee, Configuration Change Board and contract amendment

B. CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
- Propose and manage opportunities of EBIT and cash optimization through specific deals and/or inventory minimization and sign related agreements with the supplier.
- Issue purchase orders in line with customers' selection of engines (long term) and in line with industrial planning (short term) (date, price, configuration).
- Provide supplier with necessary visibility for future deliveries forecasts through specific meetings.
- Monitor FAL requirements and negotiate adjustments to Purchase Orders with supplier.
- Manage acceptance (Transfer of Titles).
- Launch on-time/ accurate payments and invoices to suppliers.

C. OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO FAL & DELIVERIES
- Support to FAL (Final Assembly Lines) and deliveries while limiting Airbus liability in case of damages.
- Solve any issues concerning the propulsion systems from delivery of nacelles to Airbus FAL until aircraft deliveries to final customer and define appropriate recovery plans for all damages related to nacelles (including repair, re-allocation, etc…).
- Provide, when necessary, commercial support to aircraft deliveries; commitment letters, concessions.
- Define and manage action plans with suppliers/ FAL/ Engineering for outstanding works or repairs.

D. CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT
- Issue Propulsion System Configuration freeze (including paint for the nacelles) to the supplier.
- Interface with Engineering and Programmes to ensure to the nacelle supplier appropriate support to configuration changes.
- Participate to the Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in order to follow up configuration changes and ensure that industrial requirements are met.
- Participate to the paint follow-up meetings in order to get new paint definition on time for delivery of nacelles.
- Support implementation of new painting process, meeting production targets.
- Approve commercially Change Notification Forms, negotiate their related commercial conditions, and formalize the associated product support conditions.
- Follow-up related implementation and payments

This role will involve some and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills
