Within Secure Communications we have a portfolio of mobile and fixed communication solutions for use at sea, on land and in the air and we develop IT solutions in support of our services and systems.
We also have the capability to integrate complex systems for our customers and we provide managed satellite services including customer support, end-to-end service provision, system operations and maintenance, teleport and backhaul as well as training and consultancy.

Our UK Graduate Programme provides exceptional graduates, from a range of backgrounds, the opportunity to master managerial and technical skills. Over the two year period it combines rotational placements with focused training and the possibility of European assignments as well as further personal development and the chance to build your professional network.

Desired profile

Tasks & accountabilities

Product Management
o Identifying market opportunities and enhancements to the product portfolio
o Developing pricing policies and benchmarking our current and future products against the competitive market place.
o Increase the quality of customer knowledge by generating business collateral for customer shows and demonstrations. These increasingly take the format of digital mediums.
o Supporting new ideas screening, project reviews and investment approval boards

Business Development / Operations
o Researching and investigating new market opportunities and analyzing customer requirements
o Undertaking market and technology research and mapping this to opportunities
o Developing Airbus unique selling proposition and undertaking SWOT analysis
o KPI evaluation, communication and subsequent improvement programmes
o Assisting with the optimisation of the organization's processes and tools to deliver on its commitments.
o Continuous improvement specialist including motivation of other employees and communication of benefits etc.

Service Delivery & Management
o Monitor service metrics, interface with customers to resolve issues and monitor service profitability targets.
o Support the service development process from customer requirement through to proposal delivery.
o Support the transition of services from customer order to successful delivery
o Provide direct support to users on maintenance issues and planning.

Project Management
o Manage a variety of projects ranging from product development through to service delivery, responsible for On Quality, Time On & On Cost
o Develop expertise in scheduling, financial control, risk management, quality management and supplier management.
o Close interaction with multi-functional teams, developing understanding of different functional areas.
o Main interface with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
o Contributing to reporting for internal and external customers.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

Relevant degree disciplines:

·  Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, Project Management ; or any that requires analysis and quantitative data manipulation

Skills:

·  Any discipline Internship with FTSE 100 employer.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Use of digital media, social media and marketing tools.
·  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
·  Inquisitive and commercial mind-set.
·  Key role and / or a member of clubs, groups etc.
·  Language skills would be advantageous, but not essential.

This role will be based in Stevenage and will receive the full Airbus Defence & Space Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
