Description of the job

Explore New Horizons - An excellent opportunity has arisen for you to join Airbus Defence & Space based in Stevenage as an AIT QA Engineer.

In this role you will lead and assure Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test excellence in MAIT. Performing Quality Assurance (QA) activities, by ensuring correct implementation of procedures and processes, to ensure product quality meets the stated requirements.

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

In this role your main tasks as responsibilities will include:

·  Production of Quality Surveillance Plans.
·  Quality assurance throughout Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test lifecycle in Stevenage.
·  Measurement and analysis of Non-quality events in MAIT to aid and direct continuous process improvement
·  Flash and Process audits on MAIT activities and facilities.
·  Supervision of Hardware Critical moves.
·  FMEA & Risk Reviews
·  Quality Assurance post-delivery support.
·  Promote quality awareness throughout AIT organisation by coaching.
·  Produce concise management reports, presentations, minutes and actions, generally using Microsoft Office tools.

Required skills

As the successful candidate your skills and experience will include:

·  HNC/HND/Degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Quality or Production.
·  Proven experience as a Quality / Product Assurance engineer in the aerospace or military industry.
·  Excellent interpersonal skills.
·  Teamwork and leadership attributes with excellent communication skills
·  Analytical skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigation.
·  Demonstrated commitment to Practical problem solving, Lean and Right First Time philosophy.
