VIE IN STEVENAGE (UK) - COMMODITY BUYER BUILDINGS (M/F)

Job description

Airbus Defence and Space (Stevenage) is looking for a Commodity Buyer Buildings
- VIE, for a 12-month contract.
You will join Airbus Defence and Space UK to support Buildings Investments Procurement deliverables for key projects (such as Refurbishment of Clean rooms, Refurbishment of Office area, New Education Centre...).
You will work as part of a multi-functional team to deliver projects on-time, on quality and on-cost.
Against selected project, you will be in charge of:
- Acting as lead Procurement,
- Developing Procurement Approach,
- Running call for tenders,
- Facilitating Team Vendor selection,
- Negotiating price and contract,
- Preparing selection report,
- Acting as Contract Management lead.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) specialising in business,
- Experience in Procurement (in Buildings would be ideal),
- Experience in challenging negotiations,
- Knowledge of contractual environment,
- Knowledge of eProc, sourcing, selection process (commercial scoring) would be a plus,
- Self confidence, autonomous and independent,
- Assertiveness,
- Ascendancy and influence in others,
- Negotiation level of English,
- Another language would be a plus.
