Job description
As the Communications and Social Media intern, you will report to the Communications Executive and:
• Assist the Communications team with media monitoring and reporting.
• Provide administrative support for various press activities and assist with organising internal events and updating the various Internal Communications channels when required.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Communications Team (50%)
External Communications
Media Monitoring
• Monitor media clippings throughout the day and flag any potential issues
• Create weekly reports of the important clippings for head office
• Update and create press distribution lists as required
Press Office
• Assist the Communications team with responding to press queries
• Assist with booking flight requests for press
• Update ticketing budget when required
• Coordinate and send out press releases and other press material
• Create coverage reports after press trips
PR Events
• Assist the Communications team with organising various PR events
• Assist with arranging assets such as goodie bags, booking pull-up banners etc
• Create coverage reports after press events
• Order promotional items orders and stock tracking
Internal Communications
Internal Events
• Support Communications team with internal events
Communications Channels
• Assist with updating the various UK and Ireland internal communication channels where required
E-Commerce Team (50%)
Social Media
• Schedule content on both brand channels
• Observe and report on daily content performance
• Help brief content in content management system (BRIX)
• Basic community management
• Seek out assets from image databases
• Assist social media agency when required
• Assist in picking and liaising with prize winners
• Keep KLM Hub platform up to date
• Modify and issue briefs for landing pages for campaigns
• Create tracking links using in-house tools
• Order, send, and track stock of goodies and prizes
• Assist in briefing both head offices for servicing purposes and flag issues on social media
• Create campaign reports and add monthly results to dashboards
Digital PR
• Assist in creating briefs to be sent to bloggers
• Review bloggers and blog posts before and after actions
• Ensure that blogs and received coverage is tracked and KPIs are achieved
• Liaise with bloggers
• Administrative assistance with Digital PR activity such as booking flights or sending information to bloggers

Pay £12,000.00 net per annum (after tax deductions)
