Purpose

The overall objective of Group Taxes is to create value for the global enterprise, business units and shareholders by maximizing corporate profitability through minimizing overall tax burden while executing and directing compliance to conform with all legal frameworks in preserving the Company’s reputation and integrity.

Overall Relevance for the Organization

· Assist/support team ensuring compliance with tax laws of the US and all sub-jurisdictions in which the adidas Group has operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Support team of tax professionals, setting up files, maintaining the file room, ordering supplies, sending invoices for payment and tracking the payment against the budget, answering phones, etc.
· Process high-volume, time-sensitive tax filings (quarterly and annual), including copying returns, gathering supporting documents, obtaining check requests, preparing certified mailings and maintaining tax return files
· Prepare basic tax forms (training will be provided) and enter information in tax preparation software
· Prepare various tax forms and/or filings (such as F8802, F720, F5713, F5472 information, 10425 FBAR, residency certificates, etc.) as part of tax compliance requirements and/or business support
· Effectively communicate with the tax team, other departments and external parties
· Approach work proactively, looking for ways to improve current processes and anticipating the needs of the team
· Adapt and modify working methods for day-to-day processes and systems
· Work to achieve objects and deliver results with a short term, operational focus as part of the department targets
· Manage cost centers and support cost center manager in all financial tasks (e.g. investment and recruitment requests, cost recharges, etc.)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, with ability to learn new systems easily
· Organized and detail-oriented

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

· University degree
· 3-5 years of experience with a multinational corporation
