2019 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The BCF is home to our Advanced Concepts (AC) teamto further strengthen the ambition as a leading creator brand which fuels the innovation pipeline for our consumers. AC will shape the future of sport through athlete driven strategic innovations.The Internship program at the BROOKLYN CREATOR FARM is designed to help you focus your career ambitions in design, explore your talents within our brand, and contribute to the concepts and products going to market.

FUNCTIONS/CATEGORIES

Advanced Concepts | Footwear Design | Apparel Design | Computational Design | 3D Design

PROGRAM DURATION

June 12 – December 6

-Full Time | June to August

-Part Time | September to December (while in school)

PAID INTERNSHIP

Interns will be paid hourly. Travel and Expenses to/from the Orientation in Portland are covered by adidas.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

· Day to day design projects in collaboration with BCF team
· Intern Orientation at adidas HQ in Portland, OR
· Personal Project
· Mentorship
· Professional Development

YOUR TASKS

· Assist team in the design of new concepts for the relevant season
· Work with the design team to create design solutions
· Gather relevant trend and consumer information for the product category
· Creation of sketches for product concepts
· Develop prototypes of ideas to present to team

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Trend/ Industry/consumer insights
· Sketching / technical drawing / tooling
· Storytelling - Visual/Verbal Communication
· Color & Materialknowledge
· Proficient in Adobe Suite, CAD, 3D Design Programs

QUALIFICATIONS

· Currently enrolled in a 2018-2019 full-time academic program in New York City.
· Graduating in 2020, 2021, or 2022
· Eligible to work in the US without restrictions.
· Available to work full-time in Brooklyn, NY for the duration of the 6-month program (June 12th-December 6th)
· Submit a portfolio of your design work
