Adecco's specialist Property Services Division North are delighted to be working with a national Housing Association as we look to assist them in recruiting a Water Hygiene Officer for an initial 12 month contract to work alongside their nationwide branches.

This role will mostly home based with occasional planned travel to your nearest office.

Purpose

The core role and focus is ensuring that all necessary working practices needed are in place to certify customers are kept safe in their homes from any potential water hygiene hazards / exposure. The post-holder will provide expert opinion to internal and external customers to help achieve our commitment of zero tolerance towards health & safety aspects.

Duties

·  Managing the delivery of the regional / national water hygiene servicing / testing / remedial programmes to our homes and offices

·  Ensuring all aspects of the regional / national contracts are performance managed through your contract management experience, to ensure all associated KPI's are monitored and accurately measured against

·  Preparing, managing and monitoring all budgetary aspects of the water hygiene

·  Implementing quality control systems for inspection and maintenance of water hygiene within our homes and offices

·  Taking action to ensure that relevant legislation and safety standards are met and customers / staff safety are secure

·  Considering / reviewing and making recommendations for changes to policies & procedures and technologies beneficial in the monitoring and auditing of water hygiene safety to ensure customer safety

Candidate requirements

·  City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating in addition to 3 years direct post related experience

·  Qualified in Legionella Risk Assessments

·  Minimum of HNC in a related construction subject or equivalent experience

·  Experience in delivery of efficient and effective water hygiene works / contracts

·  Very keen with details and able to detect early signs of service / contractor under-performance

·  Excellent negotiation skills and communication skills

Salary and benefits

·  £36,000 annual pay

·  Generous holiday allowance - 28 days paid holiday per year rising by 1 day per year up to a maximum of one working week

·  Option to purchase additional holiday of up to 2 of your working weeks (at managers discretion)
