Trainee Buyer

Location: Harlow, Essex

Salary/Rate: £16,000 - £18,000 + end of year bonus

Type: Permanent, full time

Adecco are currently recruiting a Trainee Buyer. Our client is an award winning, local enterprise in Harlow. They specialise, and are the market leaders, in the buying and selling of parts for the automotive industry. You will be working within a newly re-furbished, yet down to earth, and outgoing office environment! This is an administrative role and Adecco are looking for some proven experience in an administrative role with elements of purchasing and order processing.

As the Trainee Buyer, you will have the responsibility to engage with various clients across the UK to ensure there both clients and customers are satisfied and have sufficient stock levels in order to trade. Working with high profile vendors, you'll build strong supplier relationships and have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

·  Complete actions delegated from the Buyer

·  Working closely with the buyer and sales teams

·  Maintain and update accurate due dates for delivery of product.

·  Complete weekly stock reports for suppliers using relevant formats and procedures

·  Communicating verbally and by email with suppliers

·  Creating and formatting spreadsheets

·  Data entry

·  Administrative support to the Office Manager

Person Specification: (skills, knowledge and experience required)

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Self-motivated and genuine "Can Do" attitude

·  Strong planning & organisation skills with the ability to mange customer expectations

·  Process driven

·  Flexible, adaptable & initiative

·  Confident & Determined

·  Good administrative skills

Desirable

·  Proven experience within a buying position a major advantage

·  Experience working in a Purchasing Department or an administrative role involving high levels of numeracy would be of a major advantage
