Trade Optimisation Controller £ 45-48k

Contract: Permanent

Adecco are seeking a Trade Optimisation Controller to work with one of our Global clients in their Lisburn office.

Reporting to Revenue Finance manager this role is primarily concerned with the monitoring, controlling, reviewing and challenging of all Trade promotion Investment in the business, in order to ensure achievement of company financial targets/KBIs as well as an optimised financial return on investment.

YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Manages Trade promotions investment spend reporting and associated weekly/monthly KBI reporting

·  Ensures that a robust Governance culture and environment exists as part of the Promo optimisation process and flags erosive or sub-optimal promo activity where it exists

·  Monthly reporting on promotional activity profitability as well as weekly & monthly reporting on variances to BP

·  Ensures all reported financials around Trade promo investment are complete and accurate for month end financial and profitability reporting

·  Contributes to a detailed understanding of all monthly trade promotion activity in the business including variances to plan, rolling estimate and prior year

·  Acts as "financial gatekeeper" into promo investment strategy ensuring all promo investment decisions are based on profitable criteria (GP accretive) and re-valuated regularly

·  Manage promotional exception approval process including the identification and elimination of below threshold/negative GP promotions where appropriate

·  Ensure relevant trade investment financial insights are provided to key stakeholders to facilitate quick and effective decision making and optimised investment decisions

·  Manage the weekly Promotional Control report and ensure all relevant overspends are highlighted with risk and opportunities flagged at the appropriate level

·  Build and develop tools that provide clarity of insight into levels of promotional spend in the business and impacts on all levels of profitability

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?

Essential:

·  Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA /ACA)

·  Knowledge and hands on experience of SAP (or equivalent ERP system)

·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and comfortable in challenging the status quo

·  Highly proficient (advanced Excel) & proficient in other Office suite programmes (Powerpoint etc.)

·  Previous experience in a commercial facing, finance business partnering role ideally in a promotional control or similar environment

·  Comfortable dealing in a fast paced, changing and deadline driven environment
