Cheshire Constabulary are current recruiting for a Systems Support Analyst to join the 2nd Line Support team for a period of 6 months initially.

The scope of the role is to investigate and resolve technical incidents and service requests referred into the team, ensuring work is prioritised appropriately (i.e. according to business impact and the particular Service Level Agreement that applies); that high quality service is delivered to the customer at all times; that call logs are updated regularly and appropriately; that major and critical incidents are escalated immediately to the Incident Manager.

Applicants must have previous technical support experience, as well as Significant technical knowledge which should include Windows Client and Server, Desktop and Laptop Architectures, Microsoft Office suite, IP WAN/LAN networks, thin client architectures and browser technologies.

In order to support the force during all operational hours, this role will be working to a shift pattern.

On a 6 week shift pattern, you will work 3 full weekends, with 2 consecutive days off in the week in lieu. You will also have 3 weekends off.

Working hours will be on a rota. Shifts will be 0700-1500 , 0900-1700 , 1500-2300 and very small amount of shifts covering 1600-0200.

A shift allowance is payable on top of the hourly rate.
