My client based in Northumberland are looking for a Supply Planner to join their business. This is a permanent position to work for a distinguished and globally successful business with both fantastic opportunities and benefits for the right candidate.

You will ideally come have strong experience working with SAP a working background in Supply or Inventory Management would be advantageous. Reporting to Management your duties will include but is not limited to the following:

·  The Supply Planner is responsible for the stock level of a defined range, where the goal is to maintain a sufficient stock level to secure customer on time delivery without creating excess inventory.

·  In order to do so, the Supply Planner will look at current stock level, sales forecast (provided by the Forecast analyst) and open supply and generate purchase orders to vendors when needed.

·  The Supply Planner follows each purchase order from A to Z (from generation to receipt in distribution centre).

·  The position requires extensive use of SAP (SCM module) and strong communication skills.

You will be responsible for:

·  Generating purchase orders to maintain stock levels.

·  Signing the pro-forma invoice from the vendor, not including vendor selection and negotiation.

·  Following the production schedule and manage ongoing communication with vendors.

·  Organising freight with assistance from the logistics team.

·  Warning relevant teams for all issues linked to a purchase order or a vendor.

·  Warning on delays, price disagreement, quality issues reported by vendor for example.

·  Maintaining all SAP data for the purchase orders: delivery date, status etc.

·  Proposing and organising stock balancing between distribution centres to optimise stock holding.

·  Managing end of life of SKUs together with the Forecast Analyst, by targeting a zero-stock situation when the SKU is discontinued.

·  Managing new items introductions together with the Forecast Analyst.

·  Following up and resolving issues regarding shortages/cancellations.

The ideal candidate will have:

·  A good standard of education, preferably to A level standard, ideally in a relevant business related subject.

·  Experience of working in ERP systems where SAP/SCM is utilised.

·  Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.

·  Strong analytical, organising and problem-solving skills.

·  Good written and verbal communication skills in English. A second language would be a distinct advantage.

·  Highly organised and detail oriented.
