Supply Chain Assistant

Ipswich

£20.000 pro rata

We are delighted to be recruiting for our client based in Ipswich. Due to high demands our client is looking to add a Supply Chain Assistant to its existing team. Initially on a six-month contract, although for the right candidates this could be extended and possibly made permanent.

To support the Buyers, by processing Orders, Consignment Stock and Tender/Quotation Requests and other administration as required.

This role is offered on a part time 24 hr per week basis.

To ensure that the Supply Chain operative maximises the goals of the business at all levels.

Maintain the Shared Purchasing Mailbox in Outlook to ensure Buyers receive email requests in a timely manner.

Maintain ERP Purchasing parameter data, including Quotations.

Place Kanban Purchase Orders and track delivery through to Goods Receipt to ensure there are no risks to Production.

Run and Format Purchasing Reports in Excel for the Team to review.

Support Buyers with the administration of Engineering Change Process by creating checklists and reporting out on progress.

Construct Request For Quotation (RFQ) packages to support resourcing activities with Buyers.

Complete weekly Consignment Stock Call Off Reports and ensure associated inventory levels are accurate.

To review Purchase Order Acknowledgements and Blanket Order Responses for Production and Spares - understand impacts to production build dates and react accordingly.

Manage the Goods Receipt Notices (GRNs) for Indirect Purchases to ensure Invoices can be paid on time.

Support the Goods-In Team on Waste Management duties by completing weekly Waste Walks and arranging collection of waste in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Collect monthly Environmental, Health and Safety Data on Chemical, Paint and Fuel usages to ensure compliance on reporting to Authoritative Bodies on an annual basis.

Resolve all GRN discrepancies causing invoice holds and liaise with the Finance Team accordingly.

Support the team with additional administrative support

To positively ensure all transactional processes are strictly conducted in accordance with Business Conduct Guidelines.

Report out on agreed KPIs and Measures.

Aid the implementation and maintenance of Supply Chain processes by way of continuous improvement.

To ensure Health and Safety procedures and good housekeeping are adhered to at all times.

To undertake special projects as requested by the Supply Chain Manager.
