STORES COORDINATOR

Location: Harringay, London

Duration: temporary - on going

Hours: Working 12 hours shifts (5 days on 5 days off )

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Store coordinator to join a reputable and successful Company who continue to thrive and grow.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

·  Purpose of Role to ensure that the general management of materials is in accordance with the defined procedures. Principal Accountabilities

·  Receive, dispatch, inspect and issue materials

·  Update materials database

·  Ensure depot security is maintained; act as fire warden and monitor status of depot fire equipment

·  Monitor status of depot first aid equipment

·  Assist technical staff in the identification of materials and raise order requests Knowledge & Experience

·  Basic engineering knowledge is preferred but not essential

·  Proven experience in a stores role Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

·  Accept a personal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissions

·  Take reasonable care to avoid acts or omissions that could have an environmental impact

·  Ensure compliance with the BMS procedures relative to their position

·  Follow emergency procedures

·  Wear approved protective clothing and using safety equipment when required by health and safety regulations

·  Use all equipment provided safely and notifying local management of any observed deficiencies or defects as soon as they become apparent

·  Inform management of any changes in materials, plant or processes and of any new materials, plant or processes which become apparent in the course of work that may impact on safety or the environment

·  Immediately inform management of any observed hazards, injuries or dangerous occurrences, which become apparent during work

·  Report all safety and environmental incidents and accidents Cooperate with the employer to ensure their statutory duties are fulfilled

What do you need to qualify for the role?

·  Good written and oral communication skills

·  Good level of computer literacy

·  Good organisational and time management skills

·  Warehouse and/or logistical experience

·  Driving License

·  Fork Lift License

·  Previous experience in a Stores role
