STORES COORDINATOR

Location: Southampton

Duration: temporary - ongoing

Salary: £12.00 per hour

We are currently looking for a Stores Coordinator to be based in our Client site in Southampton. You ideally need to have background in working in a warehouse environment and have a forklift licence.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

·  Purpose of Role to ensure that the general management of materials is in accordance with the defined procedures. Principal Accountabilities

·  Receive, dispatch, inspect and issue materials

·  Update materials database

·  Ensure depot security is maintained; act as fire warden and monitor status of depot fire equipment

·  Monitor status of depot first aid equipment

·  Assist technical staff in the identification of materials and raise order requests

·  Accept a personal responsibility to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts and omissions

·  Ensure compliance with the BMS procedures relative to their position

·  Inform management of any changes in materials, plant or processes and of any new materials, plant or processes which become apparent in the course of work that may impact on safety or the environment

·  Report all safety and environmental incidents and accidents

·  Cooperate with the employer to ensure their statutory duties are fulfilled

Skills:

·  Good written and oral communication skills

·  Good level of computer literacy

·  Good organisational and time management skills

·  Basic engineering knowledge is preferred but not essential

·  Warehouse and /or logistical experience

·  Driving license

·  Fork license

·  Previous experience in store role
