Stock & Purchasing Administrator

My client is a global company which supports the electronics industry with test solutions for circuit board manufacture.

With 50 years' experience the company has an excellent reputation for providing world class products to major electronics companies

They have an opportunity for a Stock & Purchasing Administrator to support our administration and production teams. Training will be provided. Please see details of position below.

Job Title

Stock & Purchasing Administrator

Woodend Industrial Estate, L24 Position Details Permanent, starting immediately Hours 37.5 Hours per week; Monday to Thursday - 08:30 to 17:00 Friday - 08:30 to 14:30

Starting Salary National Living Wage

Job Specification The role will include: ● Preparing a Bill-Of-Materials, provided by the Fixture Design Engineers ● Performing visual stock checks on a daily basis ● Carrying out full, recorded stock checks on a quarterly basis ● Maintaining a clean, tidy and orderly stock room ● Actively managing stock levels, ordering new stock as needed ● Working collaboratively with the Purchasing Team and Fixture Assembly Team to ensure the efficient running of the store and the assembly workshop. ● Obtaining quotations and lead times from suppliers ● Creating purchase orders on Sage 50 Accounts; seeking authorisation from senior staff if required ● Checking shipments and deliveries ● Providing job costings from PO information and production time logs. ● Other general office duties; o Photocopying, scanning and filing appropriate documents as needed o Looking after visitors and planning refreshments o Assisting colleagues whenever necessary ● Being able to work independently and efficiently Key points: * Organised and methodical approach * Excellent time management * Highly motivated and able to take initiative * Ability to multitask * Trustworthy * Positive and helpful attitude * Be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications A keen ambition to become familiar with the stock parts and continually improve the process is recommended
