Adecco Sunderland are currently recruiting for an Organisation and Staff Development Coordinator. Our client is based in Sunderland and this is a full time permanent role based on 37 hours per week. The salary is extremely competitive and dependent on experience.

The Main purpose of the role is to provide a professional service to my client's faculties and Services in order to support and deliver staff and organisation development needs, in line with my clients Staff Development Planning process & Contribute to annually agreed organisation and staff development projects in support of corporate objectives identified through the University Strategic plan and HR Service plan.

Generic Role Requirements:

·  Co-ordinate the annual staff development planning process in allocated client support areas to identify staff personal development needs resulting from appraisals, supporting the creation of staff development plans to capture these needs

·  Design and facilitate a range of courses/events/workshops/away days as part of the annual programme, as well as bespoke activities to meet staff development requirements contained within Faculty/Service staff development plans

·  Liaise with members of staff at a range of levels within Faculties/Services (face to face, in meetings, by telephone or in writing) to discuss specific learning needs for individuals and teams, making initial proposals of activities to meet these needs

·  Work with the team HR Administrator to ensure arrangement of events, workshops and away days

·  Maximise opportunities for digital learning provision, aiming to increase the volume of this type of offer, whilst maintaining a high quality standard of delivery and achieved learning outcomes

Specific Role Requirements:

·  Work with the Head of Organisation and Staff Development, Organisation and Staff Development Co-ordinators and the Human Resources Business Partnering team to identify and understand the leadership and management development needs of University staff

·  Co-ordinate the leadership and management development programme of activities available for University staff, working with the Head of Organisation and Staff Development to evaluate the impact of activities

·  Work with Faculties and Services and the Human Resources Business Partnering team to create and deliver bespoke leadership and management development, where appropriate

·  Work with the HR Business Partnering team to design, deliver and evaluate the annual People Management Workshops programme available for University People Managers

·  Liaise with Faculties and Services to encourage staff engagement in undertaking leadership and management degree apprenticeships

Essential

Qualifications and Professional Memberships:

·  Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.

·  CIPD Certificate in Learning & Development or equivalent

·  Level 5 Leadership or Management qualification

Knowledge and Experience:

·  Demonstrable experience of design and delivery of work based learning and development.

·  Demonstrable experience of designing and delivering leadership and management development interventions, including evidence of up to date research and knowledge in the area of leadership development

·  Demonstrable experience of facilitating team building and other team related discussion/learning sessions, where the facilitator undertakes a challenging role

·  Experience of effectively communicating with managers and staff at different levels, working collaboratively to understand and respond to, requirements contained within staff development plans

·  Experience of providing first line advice on staff and organisation development issues in a large multi-disciplinary organisation

·  Production of management information reports

·  Experience of working autonomously and using initiative, with an ability to make decisions within a staff development framework

·  Expertise in use of IT systems and Microsoft suite

Qualifications and Professional Memberships:

·  Coaching and Mentoring qualification

·  Additional qualifications and training relating to developing people such as use of behavioural profiling tools

Knowledge and Experience:

·  Implementation of staff mentoring programmes

·  Co-ordination of staff accessing apprenticeship programmes

·  Allocating tasks/ coordinating administration processes relating to organisation of staff development events/workshops/away days

·  Design and implementation of digital learning resources
