Adecco Sunderland has a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established expanding company based just south of Durham as a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their existing team on a permanent basis.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings with the client engineers and subcontractors as required.

Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account.
Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain.
Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc.
Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner.
Manage resources.
Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes.
Client visits.

The ideal candidate will have:

Must have a Quantity Surveying degree

Previous QS experience preferably within the building services industry.

Excellent communication skills are essential

Driven and ambitious with the desire to start and you're your career.

To be able to communicate at all levels.

To have a methodical approach and can resolve issues as and when these arise.

Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own.

Hours of work are 9-5 Monday to Friday and a full UK driving licence is required.
