Our client in Witney designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a STARS Technician to join our clients Product Test team in providing quality and compliant Sensor testing. Through visual inspection of sensors and undertaking a series of physical testing procedures, you will utilise laboratory equipment, machinery and instruments to perform sensor testing and batch record review and approval to support product release, on-market stability, complaints, and product development trials.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can effectively multi-task whilst working within the scope of procedures and protocols, and offer good communication and time management skills.
Job Responsibilites:
· Perform timely manufacture and analysis of manufacturing solutions and component materials in order to disposition against defined specifications.
· Responsible for the accuracy and validity of analytical MAJOR data generated.
· Trouble shoot analytical techniques for solution and material inspections.
· Monitor and maintain equipment and methods
· Identifying trends and preventive actions.
· Monitor and maintain stocks of all consumables, reagents,standards, controls required for manufacturing solution and material inspection.
· Ensure that local quality and compliance requirements are considered when new/changed methods are implemented within the lab.
To be successful, you should have completed secondary education in English and Mathematics, and preference will be given to candidates with a scientific based background, although we would welcome applicants with transferrable skills. It would be an advantage to have experience in a regulated, quality oriented industry with experience of GLP and GMP, but full training will be provided.
Hours of Work:
You will work either 0600-1400 or 1400-2200 on a 3 week rolling rota, which includes weekends.
Rate of pay is £10.26 to £12.00 per hour
