This great company is looking for temporary support to help in their accounts department to cover purchase ledger. The role could become permanent for the right candidate.

The main part of this role initially would be to scan invoices, match to PO numbers and input into the system. Also chasing as appropriate for POs that don't match. As the job progresses you would become more involved in other duties as below.

Role Objective:

Work within the finance team with both purchase ledger and accounts receivable.

The main role will involve working with the accounts payable; covering for the accounts payable and accounts receivable holidays.


·  Carry out the daily upload of the invoices for the CID facility

·  Process supplier invoices in line with the internal policies and procedures ensuring that all documents are scanned and electronically available for review

·  Carry out statement reconciliations

·  Carry out weekly inter company balance checks with the Credit Controller for the appropriate company, ensuring that the balances are agreed.

·  Assist the Management Accountant with the month end reconciliation of the creditor balance sheets.

·  On a weekly basis review all accounts with a credit balance and chase up invoice copies; where copies are not received within 3 working days, highlight to the Management Accountant.

·  Develop strong working relationships with suppliers and demonstrate excellent communication skills when resolving supplier queries (referring to other departments as necessary)

·  Provide purchase ledger information to departments as requested in a timely and professional manner

·  Provide required assistance with audits, both internal and external.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with an earlier finish on Fridays - 36.5 hours a week

The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability, work well in a team, knowledge of an accounts payable department, previous similar experience and even better an accounts qualification e.g. AAT
