Are you a motivated and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk? Are you ready for a new challenge? Adecco have the privilege of introducing our client who has a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their vibrant team in newly refurbished office that is full of light and character.
Experience & Skills
· The ability to work effectively in a team environment and to process deadlines.
· Computerised accounting purchase-ledger experience, preferably SAGE 200.
· High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing.
· Expense-claim processing knowledge and understanding.
· Working knowledge of software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and the internet.
Duties
· Monitor and print invoices from the generic purchase ledger mail box (invoices@)
· Opening and sorting the daily post.
· To register and process invoices and credit notes in line with company guidelines.
· To ensure that all invoices/credit notes are correctly calculated, approved and coded.
· To ensure that all expenses requests are correctly calculated, approved and coded and comply with the companies expenses policy.
· Maintain adequate records of pro-forma invoices issued and chase up associated invoices.
· Investigate and resolve purchase ledger queries as required.
· To reconcile supplier statements to supplier purchase ledger accounts.
· Ensure prompt filing of supplier invoices.
· To liaise with suppliers concerning invoice queries.
· To produce Suggested Payment Report for the Financial Accountant.
· Ensure adherence to month-end deadlines.
· Ensure correct authorisation is sort for invoices.
In return for your hard work my client is offering a salary of up to £18,000 per annum, 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, limited private parking and early finish Friday!
Working hours are Monday- Thursday 9am - 17:00pm with 45-minute lunch and Friday 9am - 16:00pm with 1 hour lunch.
