Project Engineer Position
My fantastic long-standing client, based in Westhoughton, Bolton, is currently in a fantastic position of recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join their busy team in the production and coordination of their specialised manufacturing plant.
The Role:
· To carry out engineering development of existing machines and systems.
· Controlling and coordinating projects for internal and external use.
· Take ownership and proactively manage the activities required to implement large and/or complex projects all the way through product deployment. Recognise problems before they cause a project impact and act accordingly: identify the root cause, evaluate risks, plan and implement a solution.
· Finalise project requirements project and to manage sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure they meet their project responsibilities.
· Procure project equipment as defined in the project budget and to maintain cost control reports to provide visibility of project expenditure.
· Maintaining a project report and scheduling document ensuring all parties are regularly informed and up to date with any risks and actions taken to mitigate the risks.
The Person:
· Someone experienced with implementing complex supply chain systems and with a strong technical background.
· Experienced with working in a Project management background, implementing best practise for organisations or departments. Experience within a formal project management background.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Commercial awareness, familiar with legal documents and understanding of contractual nuances with a strong track record of creating capital expenditure justifications.
· Attention to detail and enthusiastic to learning new, specialist knowledge.
The Benefits:
· Salary of up to £45k - £55k
· 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
