Production Team Leader - Chelmsford

Our successful client based in Chelmsford are looking for a Production Team Leader to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. As Production Team Leader you will be responsible for supervising and working within the production department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Supervise and take responsibility for your shift, and be responsible for its performance against workload, targets and set goals

·  Manage the efforts of all production staff.

·  Communicates all expectations to production staff and appraises their performance.

·  Educate production staff on preferred H&S practices

·  Report on team performances to production coordinator and production manager.

·  Assisting in implementing process improvements within the business and the department.

·  Maintain good housekeeping standards of the workplace to ensure a safe working environment.

·  Be the first point of contact for all production staff on all issues Ensure noticeboards in the production area are updated and in general good condition. Responsible for completion of all paperwork, signed if required.

·  To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

·  Minimum of 3 years' experience in a production/team leader environment and have good communication and motivation skills.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

·  GCSE Math's

·  GCSE English

·  H&S Training

·  Management/supervisor course preferred, not essential.

Hours: Split Shift

Hourly Rate: Starting at £11.50p/h with an incentive to earn more as you become experienced in the role
