Production Technician

Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: £8.50 per hour (£9.23 after 12 weeks)
Type: Temporary (On-going basis)
Benefits: Car Parking on site, 28 days holiday entitlement
Hours: 08:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Adecco are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work for a large business based in Bishops Stortford.

The Warehouse/Production Operatives will be working in a packaging department in a production line and support the inventory and packaging runs in our clients' large warehouse.

The role will be working in the 'Days Freezer Pick' between 08:30 - 16:30, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
Key Responsibilities:

*Assemble sample collection kits according to strictly defined specifications.
*Manage stock levels of kit materials and packaging components
*To undertake labelling procedures of biological samples or pharmaceutical product at all temperatures (including low and ultra-low temperatures)
*Ensures all job related paperwork is correct, error-free, and completed in real time
*To effectively communicate in a timely and comprehensive manner
*To fill, maintain and monitor Liquid Nitrogen shippers
*To label, condition and monitor cold packs
*To maintain and clean Liquid Nitrogen Shipper cases
*Works around hazardous substances and follows all safety guidelines to minimize exposure
*Assures compliance to GMP requirements and company quality systems.
*Ensures all job related paperwork is correct, error-free, and completed in real time as per SOPs
*To effectively communicate to ensure all project related information is conveyed in a timely and comprehensive manner

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

*PC Literate

Essential Skills / Experience:

*Good numeracy and literacy skills
*Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
*Good standard of English (verbal & written)
*Good attention to detail
*Ability to work under pressure

Although not essential, the following skills and experience would be preferred:

*Worked within a GMP environment
*Warehouse experience
*Experience working with biological and/or pharmaceutical samples
*Experience working in clinical packaging

Other:
*All areas (except the freezer) have both ambient and chill sections and you will be expected to work in both. (Correct PPE provided along with extensive training).
*You will be required to work overtime according to operational needs which are paid at time and a half.
