We are currently recruiting a Engineering & Maintenance Technician to work at a Basingstoke based Manufacturing organisation.
This role will be working a double day shift which will be 6am-2pm one week and 2pm-10pm the week after continuously rotating. This shift will be working Tuesday - Saturday.
The role will be responsible for;
* Preventative & Planned Maintenance
* Defect Rectification
* Adjustments & Calibrations
* Spare Part & Material Control
* Commissioning of New Equipment
* Improvement Activity & Projects
* Training & Development
* Identify and diagnose common faults on equipment
* Assist cell technicians in diagnosing complex problems
* Identify and diagnose complex equipment and system fault
* Implement counter measures, analyse fault data and recommend root cause improvement activity.
* Proactive in reducing machine running costs by developing a network of preferred area suppliers.
* Co-ordinate parts sourcing/ordering and control costs on engineering projects and capex work.
Experience/Qualifications required;
* Experience of working within a Maintenance engineering type role
* Experience of machine operation
* An understanding of quality systems
* Proven track record in relevant discipline i.e. Electrical/Mechanical
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Product knowledge
