JOB PURPOSE

To be responsible for administrative support of the Procurement and Supply Chain Function in obtaining from internal/external sources all goods and services which are necessary for running; maintaining and managing the company's primary and support activities at the most favourable conditions. Administration of the Supplier Database; Purchasing and Item data, including specifications; Supplier Management information and Business Reporting.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·  Process and place purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring authorisation of purchase requisitions/orders/agreements in line with agreed limits.

·  Obtain quotes for materials and convert to Purchase Orders within agreed guidelines.

·  Expediting consumables purchase orders to ensure delivery schedules are met and delivery dates on orders are maintained to reflect agreed changes.

·  Review invoices as required to ensure charges and terms are as agreed

·  Administration of vendor non-conformances and Supplier Return Documents

·  Administration of Supplier Database

·  Data Management from SKU level to Supplier level.

·  Provide KPI information to agreed schedules

·  To comply & conform with the environmental and quality policy, procedures and with the requirements of the EMS & QMS and act appropriately with regard to issues affecting impacts on the environment and conforming to product requirements. Assist in achieving environmental and quality objectives and targets.

·  Maintain good levels of Housekeeping within own working environment

·  Behave in an ethical manner at all times, working in line with organisational policies and values

·  Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing activities on site.

·  To carry out any other duties within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in an Administrative/ Purchasing role

Desirable

Experienced in Microsoft Office, to include Word and Excel to intermediate level as a minimum.

Essential

Practical knowledge of working with JD Edwards or similar ERP system.

Previous experience of document management systems

Desirable

Experience of operating to standards defined within ISO 9001/ISO 14001.

Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise heavy workload effectively.
