An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Policy Improvement Officer to join a public sector organisation based in East London.

This role will be responsible for supporting the development of the service's continuous improvement function, contributing toward the successful delivery of strategic and operational business change projects. The successful post holder will be expected to keep abreast of related policy, legislative and regulatory change, government research and best practice, providing advice/options on proposed solutions to management and staff to inform decision making.

The successful candidate would have a good understanding of developing policies and procedures, ideally within the public sector. The successful applicant will also have a good understanding of performance data, with the ability to analyse and draw correct conclusions from data to support and evidence business change.

Main Responsibilities:

·  To contribute toward the development and implementation of the service's improvement framework and processes

·  To contribute toward the delivery of strategic business transformation and operational business change projects. This will include supporting/undertaking the scoping, planning and day to day project management of these to ensure their effective and timely delivery.

·  Take a lead role for ensuring policies, procedures (and supporting documentation) together with SLAs are kept up to date, and being responsible for making sure that these are either drafted directly or work is undertaken with managers to draft these promptly

·  Take a lead role within the Business Improvement Team for the preparation, drafting and provision of periodic reports

·  Support research into, evaluating the impact of and the options in response to policy, legislative and regulatory changes and Government research
